What should I avoid before and after the procedure

Avoid suntan and sunburned skin before treatment. Avoid waxing or plucking for 4–6 weeks before hair removal (shaving is fine). After treatment: sunscreen is mandatory, avoid sauna and hot baths for 2–3 days, and avoid harsh active ingredients (strong acids, retinoids) for about a week.
